South Node in 1st house, Aries or in aspect with Mars   Leave a comment

Individuals with South node in 1st house know all about the struggle just to survive and grow in a hostile world.  They have had to focus their energy on meeting their own needs and obtaining the resources necessary for survival.  These individuals may be viewed as sex symbols or have unwanted attention focused on them from an early age, they have definitely spent their early years fighting for what they want in most cases either they have been at the receiving end of negative attention or they have been over exposed to positive attention from doting parents and have to begin to readjust their perceptions of themselves.

Both these situations can be difficult to deal with, the individual has to relearn who they are from scratch; they need to reassess their abilities, skills and talents, and begin to work out their capabilities as adults.  This is something most begin to do in adult-hood but it is a continuous process of readjustment and as they commit to adult relationships and begin to incorporate their North Node reactions to the consequences of their choices these individuals will find it becomes easier to form realistic expectations of themselves and others.

When it comes to making decisions they are very reactive and tend to go with their gut feeling a lot of the time, they are unafraid of making tough decisions and their choices are often bold and sometimes rash.  They tend to be very honest in the choices and decisions they make unafraid to just go after what they want in a direct and open manner this can be intimidating for others who are less direct in their approach but these individuals actions are direct and open and you tend to know exactly where you are with them which earns them a lot of fans.  They are capable of rushing head first into things but having earned some big bumps and bruises to that head they learn through the consequences of such actions to think three steps ahead.

South node in 2nd House, Taurus or in aspect with Venus   Leave a comment

Individuals with South Node in 2nd have a lot of energy focused on their need for security.  We all have different needs to make us feel safe and secure with South Node in 2nd what ever those needs are, personal, career, financial, family the individual will be focused on ensuring they are met.  Usually these individuals have experienced some lack of security or stability early on in life and as such are driven to ensure their own needs are met and they have a safety net as adults.

These people work hard and generally like to save some money for a rainy day they are not mean or frugal they just like to be prepared for the worst. They also like to protect; property, family, business, romances, reputation – all of these things are important to these people and they have difficulty letting go of any of them.

This affects the decisions they make as they are unlikely to want to attempt anything too risky that would make them vulnerable they are usually quite level-headed when it comes to choices, this does not mean they are boring or uncreative quite the opposite at times and their choices often reflect their creativity and good taste.  They can find themselves stubborn when it comes to making decisions they tend to stick to them even if it would be much easier to change direction and try a different route.

They begin to accept that we cannot control everything as they get older and experience the consequences of their action through the North Node.  Accepting nothing can make us immune to the traumas of life helps them to put things into balance and helps them to expand energy on friendship and in personal growth as well as security.  Realising the importance of friends and inner security is important for these people and this happens often when they face unforeseen consequences and find out who they can depend upon.

South Node in 3rd house, Gemini or aspect to Mercury   Leave a comment

Individuals with 3rd house South Node, may have difficulty processing thoughts and ideas orderly.  They are good at seeing the bigger picture and they have an eye for detail but lack the skills often to prioritize and organize their thoughts into a plan of action that helps them achieve their goals.  They may have a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia or ADHD but it was likely that they struggled during early education because they were misunderstood.  They may have taken longer to work out the basics due to problems that may have been unrecognised but their ability to think on their feet often helped them around problems later in education.  They often found their own solutions to problems they had figuring out for themselves what worked for them.

Here they take in many different options when making decisions they like to have as much information as possible and choose options that leave them room to manoeuvre and change direction if necessary.

They often try to do everything at the one time and have a lot of restless energy, they sometimes lack the focus to see projects through to the end as they are often distracted by new ideas.  As they begin to activate their North Node in response to consequences of decisions this helps them to begin to focus ideas on specific themes instead of randomly following their passion of the moment.  They also need to develop critical and analytical skills needed to sort out their new ideas into practical and achievable goals instead of the castles in the sky and this comes as they face consequences of not planning in advance for setbacks.  Once they have developed the skills needed and they follow the intuition that guides them these people are capable of being innovative communicators of dreams, visions and possibilities – wherever their passions lie with their newly developed skills they can share new and innovative ideas.

South Node in 5th house, in leo or in aspect to Sun   Leave a comment

South Node in the 5th individuals have a gift for entertaining others with their bright disposition.  Often these individuals from an early age brought consolation and happiness to close family members with chronic illness or disability.  They learnt early on in life how to cheer people up and entertain them.  They have a gift for making others laugh and seeing the funny side of life.

Their sunny disposition shines through in the decisions they make in life, their self belief is also an important aspect of this decision making process and when it is low their decisions reflect their lack of confidence and are more likely to be conservative. However as their North Node begins to help them assess the consequences of their actions their confidence increases and they realise they can achieve much in life

These individuals once they start to embrace there North Node consequences often become comfortable speaking out on such issues as childhood trauma and low self esteem, they understand the many people whose circumstances and needs cut them off from many of the ordinary pleasures in life.  Born entertainers these people are often found in show-business, amateur dramatics / operatics or choirs where they can and often do entertain the armed forces, elderly and the sick.  They see the importance of having a positive attitude and being able to laugh in the darkest of hours and they make decisions that tend to bring light, laughter and fun into the lives of others.  There is a very creative aspect to the decisions and actions they take and they are likely to use their creativity to draw attention to the things they deem important in life as well as making others think at times.

South Node in 6th house, in Virgo or in aspect to Mercury   Leave a comment

Individuals with South Node in 6th house have often had experiences with parents and/ or others who needed help with care, these individuals were often young carers who are used to putting the needs of others first. They needed to be practical and to think about ways in which they could help others do things easier.

This practical yet caring attitude is how they tend to make decisions, they tend to think of the practical implications their decisions and actions have on others and whether it is likely to be a help or a hindrance to others.  They are naturally able to see the practicalities of decisions especially when it comes to the most effective way to go about completing a task.  Their decisions and actions tend to be methodical but this process can easily be disturbed by random events which throws them off balance at times.  As they embrace the consequences of their actions through the North Node they have an opportunity to become more relaxed and less effected by random events as they see the effects are not deadly and certainly not worth the worrying they sometimes endure.

As they begin to develop their North Node they also begin to understand that they are not put on this earth to look after everybody, as important as it is to care, we are supposed to be interdependent on each other and share duties and responsibilities equally.  This sometimes takes time for them to understand as they derive a lot of pleasure helping others but it is important for them to let go at times.

This means that the 6th house person has to learn to resist the urge to take over and to organize others, they learn to trust in others abilities and to let people grow by allowing them the opportunity to help.  allowing others to take some of these responsibilities helps them develop a sound understanding of moral responsibilities and duties we all share.

South Node in 7th house, Libra or in aspect to Venus   Leave a comment

Individuals with south Node in 7th tend to have an understanding of all the many types of relationships people have.  Their family dynamic was often centred around their parents relationship and how well they were relating to one another.  As children they soon learnt to pick up on subtle signals as a way of knowing how the atmosphere was going to be like and whether they should stay clear of both parents for a while.

Because of this they tend to make decisions based on how their relationships with others will be affected, the state of their relationships also impact on the decisions they make and they can struggle to make a decision because of the different views of others that are important to them.  There is a need to understand that although it is important to listen to a wide variety of views, ultimately we must make our own choices based on the best information we have and it is fine to reach a different decision than others because we all must live with our own choices in life.  As they mature and they get the feedback from the consequences of decisions from the North Node their confidence to go against the grain of common thought develops and they become more comfortable dealing with those times they have to stand alone in the decisions they make.

As these individuals mature and embrace their North Node they learn not to be as sensitive to the signals of others, and relax more with other people instead of constantly trying to engage others moods.  These people begin to realize that all families are different but dysfunctional in their own way and begin to feel more secure in who they are as an individual.

South Node in 8th house, Scorpio or in aspect to Pluto   Leave a comment

Individuals with south node in 8th house have usually grown up with experiences of power games, manipulation, abuse and dramatic / traumatic family life styles.  These people have seen what our issues and insecurity can drive us to doing to each other.  They are well aware of the harm we can cause one another psychologically.  They may also have lost siblings or parents early in life or had siblings /parents with severe or chronic health conditions and have intense emotional issues due to this.

These individuals put this emotional experience into their decision-making processes and there is great emotional investment in the choices and decisions they make as a result of this.  They tend to make decisions based on the emotional responses they have to life events and at times they can be the subject of manipulation because of this as their intense emotional response to protect the vulnerable is abused by others at times.  They can be very powerful at times because they are willing to do what it takes regardless of the consequences to themselves if it is an important cause or issue in which the vulnerable are at risk.  This inner feeling that there are far more important things than their life makes them capable of making decisions in which they are willing to sacrifice everything for a common goal or good.  As the consequence of their actions are filtered through the North Node they start to realise the times when this belief in sacrifice and defence of others is abused and they become much more aware of how vulnerable they can be to the manipulations of others.

As these individuals mature and start to address their North Node consequences they learn to create an inner sense of security amidst all the turmoil they have experienced in life.  They start to address their own needs for self-expression and self-esteem instead of always focusing on the victim parent or sibling they begin to realise that adults are capable of defending themselves and taking responsibility for their own actions.  They realise that taking over that role in another’s life is unhealthy for both.  Doing so frees the individual to begin to meet their own needs and empowers the victim to take accountability for their life and make whatever changes are necessary.

South Node in 9th house, sagittarius or in aspect to Jupiter   Leave a comment

Those individuals with South Node in 9th house have often had intense experiences due to the dogmatic principles of religion.  They may have had an upbringing which was religious but which failed to prepare them for life or they may have felt that their religious background isolated or made them feel inferior, worthless or depressed.  they may have felt the influence of foreign cultures impinged upon their sense of identity or they may have felt like a minority of one.

There are many various scenarios, blaming God for death of parent, grandparent, sibling or other.  Feeling excluded because of their sexuality, feeling morally inferior to others etc…..

They make decisions often based on both their religious beliefs and the feelings about themselves that their religious upbringing as a child installed in them.  Their beliefs about themselves and their abilities have a huge impact on the choices and decisions they make in life.  This is an area that takes a while and the consequences of the North Node to reveal a more realistic view of who they are and what they can achieve with a sense of self belief will often shock them.  Once this self-confidence begins to develop and starts to impact their decision-making processes they become unstoppable at achieving their goals in life.  These individuals will always strive to make the most ethical decisions in their life and focus on the morality of their actions.

The individual when they begin to incorporate their North Node begins to realise that there is no one defined set of moral standards, that dogma is separate from the spiritual wisdom contained in all ancient religions and belief systems.  They begin to find their own wisdom and values.  They find their own inner guide to their own truths.  With this and an added sense of self confidence they are capable of expressing themselves in ways that attract support for their beliefs and causes in life.

South Node in 10th house, Capricorn or aspect to Saturn   Leave a comment

Individuals with south node in the 10th have often had to take on the adult role even as little children.  Often these individuals have taken on the responsibility of protecting a vulnerable parent from the harsh realities of life. They may also have had to take responsibility for younger siblings due to circumstances.

These people are sometimes forced into responsibility for other reasons, being groomed to take over a family business,  A famous example is Prince William with his South Node in Capricorn in the first and Jupiter conjunct MC.  He knows he was born to be King, that Jupiter MC (Midheaven) means he has always been in the public-eye he has always had ever move watched and examined.  This responsibility or duty to behave appropriately to put the needs of his country first is something he has been prepared for all through his childhood.

Here decisions are often made from the point of fulfilling responsibilities and duties to others rather than personal choice.  They choose the best practical options in the circumstances they find themselves in and are capable of making choices that involve a lot of hard work on their part.  They rarely make spontaneous decisions early in life preferring to reflect on the options available but as they mature and the consequences of their choices leave them with much more opportunities in life they relax more and are much more spontaneous and outgoing.

When the individual matures and embraces their North node consequences of assuming responsibility for others they learn to address their emotional needs and place more emphasis on what they need rather than assuming responsibility for others when they are capable of meeting their own needs.  These people learn to balance their responsibilities with their needs and through personal relationships learn to seek the support of others as well as giving it. This takes time and as the consequences of letting others take responsibility for their own actions and choices begins to feed back into their decision-making process they become much more relaxed about not needing to be in control of everything.

South Node in 11th house, Aquarius or in aspect to Uranus   Leave a comment

Individuals with South Node in 11th house are used to feeling different, they may have had experiences growing up where they felt excluded, either from family or peer groups and sometimes both.  These individuals struggled to fit in, with family and friends they felt different or unwanted. They may have experienced the divorce of their parents or have abandonment issues.

This has a deep impact on their decision making processes that they often do not understand fully when they are younger, they often fear the close emotional intimacy that they need and make decisions that help them keep that emotional distance from others often at a subconscious level where their first instinct is to push people away or to run from emotional issues.  This is something that they may struggle with for a long time until they realise the consequences of doing so keep them from healing and can destroy relationships.  On a more positive note because of their own experiences they are likely to make decisions that reflect their understanding of what it is like to feel excluded and there choices reflect a desire for society to embrace everybody regardless of colour, gender or sexuality.

This feeling of being excluded had a huge impact on their self-esteem, only when they begin to embrace their North Node do they come to terms with consequences of their issues and embrace their needs to feel secure within themselves despite their earlier trauma.  These people are often very talented and only once they have begun to work on their issues, do they often have the confidence to reveal their gifts to the public.  As they begin to consciously work on not running away from emotional issues, the consequences of facing these fears soon open them up to a much richer emotional life in which they may feel much more relaxed and at peace than they ever had before.

South Node in 12th, in Pisces or in aspect to Neptune   Leave a comment

Individuals with South Node in 12th house are used to swimming in a sea of emotional turmoil.  They have developed a strong ability to sense what is happening, this is often due to childhood issues, they grew up having to sense and feel their way through an emotional maze, of which nothing was ever said only implied in the subtle actions and reactions of others.

Thus they tend to make decisions based on gut instincts that are based on subtle body language and sensed understanding of the direction events are going in.  This is hampered at times because of their own emotional sensitivity where they end up making decisions based on their own beliefs about themselves at that moment, at times, and their emotions can paralyse them from making unpleasant choices and acting on them when it is necessary.

This has given these individuals an acute awareness of what lies just beneath the surface, these individuals have an anxious emotional awareness to others, and feed off subtle undercurrents.  As they begin to embrace their North Node assessment of the consequences of their actions, they learnt to balance their heightened sensitivity with critical analytic thinking realizing that people’s issues are their own and not the result of them, or anything they have done that is an important fact they have to remember about their childhood – those issues existed before they ever did and they could not have changed them.  When taking this feedback back into the decision process of their South Node, they are able to use their gut feeling much more accurately and assess better when it is their own emotional issues that are the problem.  With time they are capable of learning when to step back from their emotional instincts and use rational assessment of how likely / real these fears are.
