Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars, But Venus in Aquarius knows we all love a sprinkle of pixie-dust to spice things up.  Whether you are a male or female Venus in Aquarius you have a hidden stash of pixie-dust ready to create some special magic for two.

Aquarius represented the waters of the great one to the Babylonians, Enki / Ea poured his water of life or semen upon his wife Ninhursag (lady mountain) to fertilise the land in particular the rivers of the Euphrates, Tigris and the fertile crescent is associated with the fertile waters of Enki.  Venus is in a sign that represents the fertilisation of the earth through the water cycle, Enki symbolises the magic of the raindrop, the snow flake that falls from the air to merge with the earth.  Aquarius in Ancient times was associated with the shortest day in the northern hemisphere, this time has always been associated with celebration and bringing fertility back to the land through rituals.  Even today we bring greenery into our house at this time of year and one special plant in particular the mistletoe under which we kiss.  The mistletoe was an ancient sacred plant of the druids, that because of its parasitic nature appeared to fall from the heavens and grew without roots on ancient apple trees, the fruit of love.  Venus in Aquarius represents all these ancient perspectives of the sacred fertility of the earth and the air.  This sign understands the sacred act of union as one of bringing regeneration and rebirth to dormant / sleeping passions. Venus in Pisces through the houses   Leave a comment

Women are from Venus and Men are from mars, but gender is just a distraction to Venus in Pisces.  They are aware that male and female this energy is an important part of us all.  That recognising and embracing our Venus as part of our divine heritage is irrelevant of gender.

In Babylonian mythology the Eastern fish of Pisces represented Venus as well as the star that represents the knot of the chord that connects the two tails.  In Greek myth, Typhon descends upon Mount Olympus, threatening all of the gods and goddesses, who flee from their home. As Typhon approaches, Aphrodite and her son Eros ( Venus and Cupid) turn into fish, two fish approach them and swim them away to safety, or they turn into a giant egg and two other fish take them to safety. In some myths they are rescued by the two Ichthyocentaurs (fish, horse, men) called Bythos and Aphros who were set in the heavens as the constellation Pisces. These sea-centaurs were thought to be peaceful water-dwelling creatures; they tend to hold great value for their family and friends. Most of the time they are able to get along with other water-dwelling races.  This myth is thought to have origins in Astarte (Venus) being carried to shore in a giant egg by Dagon (God with fish lower half).  Which makes Venus in Pisces naturally concerned about being safe and secure in an unpredictable world and protecting their loved ones.

Pisces the fish are also connected to Adapa, the first of the seven Mesopotamian sages, was a mythical figure who unknowingly refused the gift of immortality.  The sages are described in Mesopotamian literature as ‘pureparādu-fish, probably carp, whose bones are found associated with the earliest shrine, and still kept as a holy duty in the precincts of Near Eastern mosques and monasteries. Adapa as a fisherman was iconographically portrayed as a fish-man composite. The word Abgallu, sage (Ab = water, Gal = great, Lu = man, Sumerian) survived into around the 1st century, as apkallum, used to describe the profession of a certain kind of priest.  Venus in Pisces often denotes a love of spiritual development.

The fish may also be connected to Siduri, the barmaid (an incarnation of Venus) who lives at the lip of the sea, this was her advice to Gilgamesh:

Gilgamesh, whither are you wandering? Life, which you look for, you will never find. For when the gods created man, they let death be his share, and life withheld in their own hands. Gilgamesh, fill your belly. Day and night make merry. Let days be full of joy, dance and make music day and night. And wear fresh clothes. And wash your head and bathe. Look at the child that is holding your hand, and let your wife delight in your embrace. These things alone are the concern of men.

Poseidon (Neptune ruler of Pisces) was in archaic Greek times an Earth God and part of the trinity with Demeter and Persephone. He was still refered to as Earth shaker at times in classic Greek mythology and Venus in this sign accentuates its earthy side that causes sexual tremors.
