Why Syriza, Podemos and the left must face the establishment!   Leave a comment

March this year was the last of the exact squares of Pluto and Uranus.  Contrary to what some astrologers will say Pluto in Capricorn represents the 99% as well as Uranus in Aries.  Capricorn is associated with old style banking, not the speculative gambling and greed of modern financial institutes.  At heart Capricorn is about having a roof over your head and food in the cupboard, the financial crash and government policies removed what little security people had! This was half of the dynamic, the removal of security in housing and food meant that people had nothing left to lose, the other half was the systematic removal of freedoms.  Uranus the planet of revolution, freedom and revelation in Aries sign of our basic drives and needs representing a population that was being pushed to far and ready to revolt. The Arab spring, Occupy, Syriza, Podemos and the Indy Referendum in Scotland were all part of this dynamic.

Now we are entering a time when for next couple of months Saturn and Jupiter will start to square each other, hope vying with fear. The first exact square will be beginning of August, but its themes will be increasingly felt from now on, Saturn in Scorpio at its worst represents consequences of desire to control, manipulate and abuse. At its best Saturn in Scorpio give us the ability to deal with intense emotions and past traumas in a reasonable realistic way instead of reacting to past hurts or slights.  Jupiter in Leo at its worst conveys an arrogant self righteousness and at its best is faith in our own creativity and ability; the square means these dynamics will be playing out in the wider world and on a personal level for us all.
