Uranus, Pluto and Jupiter T -Square The Cold War that Never Ended   Leave a comment

Red square

The Cuban Revolution of 1949 to 1959 had seen President Fulgencio Batista, a right-wing ally of the U.S., ousted. He was replaced by a new left-wing administration dominated by Castro, which had severed the country’s formerly strong links with the U.S. by expropriating their economic assets and developing links with the Soviet Union, with whom the U.S. was then embroiled in the Cold War. The U.S. government of President Dwight D. Eisenhower was concerned at the direction which Castro’s government was taking, and in March 1960, Eisenhower allocated $13.1 million to the CIA in order to plan Castro’s overthrow.

2014 Western backed Turchinov and Tymoshenko ousts Pro-Russian President Yanikovich of the Ukraine, replacing him with Pro-European Government.  The Russian Government concerned about the direction Ukraine was taking and possible NATO connections placing missiles aimed at Russia just across the Border, responds to calls from Russians in Crimea and Ukraine for support.

Jupiter in Cancer expands our sense of patriotism, makes us narrow-minded and nationalist in view-point unable to see situations from another’s point.  Jupiter is opposite Pluto in Capricorn, the need for stability, structure, and adequate defenses Pluto in Capricorn increases our need to feel secure and safe.  Square both is Uranus in Aries and it is calling for us to change our responses to situations like this.  Uranus is reminding us that the Cold War will not end until we change and see the other side of the argument.  It did not end with the dismantling of the Berlin wall it ends with the dismantling of our walls of fear and prejudice, when we are honest with each other and stop playing power games.
